Admissions Day at Nassau Community CollegeJune 30, 2010

Garden City, NY – Those considering college should make plans to come to Nassau Community College for our Admissions Day on Wednesday, June 30 in the College Center Building. They can apply for admission to NCC while learning about our many opportunities for advancement. NCC offers affordable tuition, more than 70 degree and certificate programs, Weekend College and online and evening courses. If students didn't finish their degree, have never attended college, or have just been thinking about acquiring new skills, this is their chance to learn how NCC can help them succeed.

There's no charge to attend the event and no need to register. Admissions Day runs from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., but participants can come when they can and leave when they must.

What happens during Admissions Day? The details are outlined below:

 What can I expect?

Hourly presentations on:

  • The admissions process, at the top of each hour
  • The financial aid process, on the half-hour
  • Who can I speak with?

Meet one-on-one with our knowledgeable counselors from the Office of AdmissionsSpeak with staff from:

  • Financial Aid Office
  • Academic Advisement
  • Adult Resource Center
  • Placement Testing Center

What should I bring for on the spot admission?

  • Proof of high school graduation or GED
  • College transcripts, if applicable (official, if possible)
  • Proof of immunization, if possible
  • SAT or ACT test scores, if applicable
