The Nassau Community College Department of Theatre and Dance Presents "Story Theatre," Adapted from "Grimm’s Fairy Tales" October 10-11 & 16-18

Garden City, NY Nassau Community College is proud to present the children's theatre production Story Theatre. The play will be performed October 10 through 11 and October 16 through 18.

Story Theatre by Paul Sills is a charming production featuring 'playlets' based on fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. Among the fairy tales that are included in the play are “The Bremen Town Musicians,” “The Little Peasant,” “The Fisherman and His Wife” and “Henny Penny.” Story Theatre was originally performed on Broadway in 1970 and 1971. It was nominated for a Tony award for Best Play. The late Sills Ñ who did ground-breaking work in improvisational theatre Ñ won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Director. Paul Sand won the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Performance for his role in the Broadway production.

Tickets for Story Theatre cost $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. Performances are Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., Sundays at 3:00 p.m. and Friday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. For more information or to order tickets, call the NCC Theatre Box Office at 516.572.7676 Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
