Fall 2008 Cultural Program Presents "The Castle" — An Off Broadway Play

Garden City, NY The Nassau Community College Fall 2008 Cultural Program is proud to present The Castle, an Off Broadway play about four formerly imprisoned New Yorkers. The Castle will be performed on Wednesday, December 3 at 12:30 p.m. in the College Center Building.The Castle is about four formerly imprisoned New Yorkers with a total of seventy years of incarceration among them. These individuals relate their journeys of crime, privation and redemption found at the Castle, a residence operated by the Fortune Society. The players in The Castle Vilma Ortiz Donovan, Angel Ramos, Casimiro Torres and Kenneth Harrigan created the show with David Rothenberg, a former press agent on Broadway who started the Fortune Society in 1967 to lend a hand to people coming home from prison. The Castle is a unique, inspirational drama.
