The Nassau Community College Department of Theatre and Dance Presents "Murderers" December 11 - 14 & 17 - 2 1

Garden City, NY The Nassau Community College Department of Theatre and Dance is proud to present Murderersat the Mainstage Theatre. Performances will take place Thursday, December 11 through Sunday, December 14 and Wednesday, December 17 through Sunday, December 21.

Jeffrey Hatcher's clever and charming Murderers is based on his hit play Three Viewings. Someone is murdering the residents of tony Riddle Key Luxury Senior Retirement Living Center and Golf Course in Riddle Key, Florida, where stylish seniors get all dolled up for dances, play golf competitively and wonder why each week their neighbors seem to be dying off. Each monologue in this humorous triptych begins with its character announcing, "I am a murderer." As the body count rises, the audience begins to wonder if some of the victims deserved to be taken out. The lush setting of golf carts, cul de sacs and cocktail parties provides ample material for Hatcher's twisted sense of humor.

Performances of Murderers are at 8:00 p.m. December 11 through December 13 and December 17 through December 20. The December 14th and December 21st performances are at 3:00 p.m. Tickets for the play cost $9.00; seniors 55 and over may purchase a ticket for $7.00. High school and college students with valid I.D. will be admitted free. For more information, call the theatre box office at 516.572.7676 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
