Nassau Community College Jewish Studies Project

Garden City, New York  The Nassau Community College Jewish Studies Project is proud to present the following events in its spring 2007 lecture series:

March 14, 2:00 p.m., College Center Building  “The History of Jews in Islamic Lands” Ñ Dr. Jane Gerber is a professor of History and Director of the Center for Jewish Studies and Institute for Sephardic Studies at the City University of New York Graduate Center.

March 14, 3:30 p.m., College Center Building  “Interfaith Dialogue: Students of Three Faiths Visit the Holy Land” Ñ Six students discuss their experiences in visiting sacred sites, learning about each other's faiths and participating in a journey of awareness and understanding.

April 11, 2:00 p.m., College Center Building  “Anti-Semitism in America Today” Ñ Robert O. Trestan, Eastern States Civil Rights Counsel of the Anti-Defamation League, will address issues of anti-Semitism as manifested in contemporary American society.
