NCCFT Scholarships
 

The Nassau Community College Federation of Teachers is pleased to announce open competition for the

THE AARON SELIGMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
In the amount of: $1000
Number of Aaron Seligman Scholarships Available: 1

Minimum Requirements for consideration of your completed application:

  • Must be a full time NCC student during the academic year in which the application was submitted

  • Must have completed a minimum of two full time semesters

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Must be in good academic standing

  • Must have completed a minimum of 48 academic credits

  • Must have successfully completed 16 academic credits in mathematics and/or computer science

  • Must have been actively involved in a leadership activity with two letters of appropriate recommendation

Filing Deadline: Each year by the Second Friday in March

JOSEPH F. CARLINO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NCC GRADUATING STUDENTS

In the amount of: $3,000 and a second amount $1,000
Number of Joseph F. Carlino Scholarships for Graduating Students Available: 2

The Nassau Community College Federation of Teachers – Local 3150 Scholarship Committee will award the Joseph F. Carlino, Jr. Academic Excellence and Service Scholarships to full-time day students who graduated from NCC in the Summer or Fall 2007 or full-time day students eligible to graduate from NCC in May 2008.

At the time of graduation, the applicant:

  • Must have completed a minimum of 48 credits as a full-time student at NCC

  • Must have at least a 3.7 cumulative average;

  • Must plan to continue studying at an accredited four-year institution of higher learning

  • Must be able to document unpaid service to the College and/or community while a student at NCC

(Award will be made pending verification of credits completed and final grade point average.)

JOSEPH F. CARLINO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN

In the amount of: Enrollment Tuition and Fees for Fall Semester (Students who do not reside in Nassau County are responsible for the difference between resident and non-resident tuition and fees.)

Number of Joseph F. Carlino Incoming Freshmen Scholarships Available: 3

The Nassau Community College Federation of Teachers – Local 3150 Scholarship Committee will award the Joseph F. Carlino, Jr. Academic Excellence and Service Scholarships to full-time day incoming freshmen with a program emphasis in Mathematics, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.  

At the time of graduation, the applicant:

  • Must have graduated from high school with at least a 3.0 cumulative average;

  • Must be registered and accepted to attend Nassau Community College for the fall semester

(Award will be made pending verification of credits completed, final grade point average and NCC enrollment.)
