Garden City, NY-The Firehouse Art Gallery at Nassau Community College is proud to present Passing Through, an exhibit of photographs by Jim Large.  The photographs provide an up close and personal glimpse into very distant and exotic places, examining the occupants of those places.  The exhibit carries the viewer on a compelling journey-intriguing, emotional and quite beautiful.

Taken around the world, photographs by Jim Large, former Acting Director of the Wildlife Conservation Society, have been shown at many exhibitions.  One of his photographs recently won an award in Nature's Best Photography Magazine, 2006 Backyard International Photographic Contest.
