Garden City, N.Y. – Community residents who enjoy playing musical instruments are invited to join various Nassau Community College/Community performance groups for weekly rehearsals leading to public concerts. These groups include: Concert Band–light classics and standard band literature; and Orchestra–masterpieces of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic literature.
Each activity is open to participation by College, adult, and high school players on a voluntary basis. College credit can be earned by tuition payment of one credit for each semester. Regular attendance and commitment to the ensemble is more critical than level of playing ability.
All rehearsals take place weekly at Nassau Community College

Concert Band:
Monday evenings, 7:30-10:00 p.m. (Open to all wind and brass players)
Orchestra:
Tuesday evenings, 7:30-10:00 p.m. (Open to all string players, wind and brass players)
