You cannot "pass" or "fail" the Placement Test. However, to make sure that test scores accurately represent your skill levels, you may wish to review basic concepts in reading, grammar, arithmetic, and algebra before taking the Placement Test. This is what you can do:
- Reviewing a GED or SAT review book, available at local bookstores and public libraries, is helpful in refreshing your basic skills.
- You may take sample tests from our NCC website.
- Through the Lifelong Learning Department of NCC, the Placement Testing Office has arranged for a brush up course in Math. Math CED 313 will help students improve their arithmetic and algebra skills before attempting the Placement Test.
Please contact Lifelong Learning at 516-572-7472 for more information regarding brush up courses.
