The Firehouse Plaza Art Gallery, located in the College Center Building, serves students and the community as a learning resource center with a wide variety of activities including fine arts exhibitions, lectures and other cultural events. The Gallery features prominent artists, craftspeople, and national and regional competitions, as well as faculty and student works. |
The Music Center at NCC is located on the west campus in several buildings. Concerts, recitals, workshops and rehearsals are held in the Music Hall. Our College and Community: Concert Band, Orchestra, Chamber Ensembles, Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Ensembles rehearse and perform at the center. Nassau's Music Department offers its students a comprehensive setting to explore their musical aspirations. |
The NCC Theatre is located on the south campus next to the Air and Space Museum, and is under the direction of the Theatre and Dance Department. The department's theatre productions are open to the public. The facility consists of two theatres, the 200-seat Mainstage Theatre and the 100-seat Little Theatre, in addition to office space and classrooms. The Little Theatre is used for acting classes and plays. It also houses the Children's Theatre, which produces regular performances for the public, and special free performances that are attended by approximately 2,000 school children each year. |
