This interdisciplinary social science program will chronologically explore the development of the modern world from 1500 to present. Course content will focus on such topics as scarcity, population dynamics, disease, industrialization, poverty, conflict, and international trade. Pertinent skills will be developed. This course will give students an awareness of the interdependence among past and present nations. Students will work with maps to gain an understanding of geography and the changing world order.
