Colloquium For Student Achievement
The faculty of the Communications Department at Nassau Community College holds an annual colloquium for student achievement in order to highlight the work of students in various courses. The students present projects they completed as part of their regular studies. The faculty of the Communications Department is proud of the students' accomplishments and are delighted to have a chance to recognize their achievements.

The colloquium is held in the spring semester.  It is a way for the professors in the Communications Department to highlight students who have done exceptional work in their communications classes. The presenters are recommended by their respective professors. Of the large number of students considered for the honor of presenting, generally six to eight student projects are chosen.
The students who are selected to present are then coached by their professors in order to ensure that their presentations are smooth and successful. Presenting in the Colloquium for Student Achievement is not only a great experience. It is also a wonderful aspect as a resume builder. Additionally, participating students receive a certificate of achievement from the College and the Communications Department.
