If you are currently enrolled as an English as a Second Language Student (ESL Program code 48), an ESL advisor must advise you until all of your ESL developmental courses are completed. ESL Advisement is located in the Academic Advisement Center, Building U. Please call 516-572-7118. Please see below for Academic Advisement hours. 

Once you have completed all of your ESL developmental courses, you must declare a major on a Change of Area form. The Change of Area form requires signatures from both the ESL Office and the department of your declared major. Thereafter, you will be advised by an advisor for your major. If you have any questions about your ESL status, please call the Academic Advisement Center at 516-572-7118.
