The Nassau Community College Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation created in 1983 to support the mission of the College by providing an independent avenue to receive philanthropic aid. For many students, their road to success begins with the NCC Foundation.
The NCC Foundation’s primary responsibilities include fund-raising and the distribution of those funds in support of scholarships, academic programs and facilities. The NCC Foundation has distributed more than $4 million in merit- and need-based scholarships in the last decade, supporting academic achievement and also providing educational opportunities for students who might not otherwise be able to attend the College. The NCC Foundation also supports programs in faculty development, as well as a variety of the College’s cultural and leadership activities.
Serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nassau Community College Foundation provides a unique opportunity to participate in the life of the College. The Nassau Community College Foundation Board of Directors, with prominent members of the business and professional community dedicated to supporting higher education and student success, share an active role in promoting the College’s goals.
